Summer Moisturizers

In the summer time, my face can feel like it’s melting! So moisturizer it is far from my mind. It’s just as important in the summer to keep up your skin regimen that you keep in the winter months.

This night oil I discovered in a Sunday Riley “Squad Goals” Skincare kit (you can also try by clicking on the image in the product list above). I apply Luna only before bed because it is an oil and just wouldn’t feel right to wear out during the day. It is a retinol oil that I had begun to research as I begin to “get older”. The retinol reduces the appearance of pores and wrinkles while improving the signs of fine lines, age spots and dullness. I was unsure about the oil being blue at first but it turns clear when massaged into the skin. OH, and it smells heavenly!

Quick Tip: If you choose to apply the Good Genes Lactic Acid Treatment after, allow the Luna oil to sink in a few minutes before applying. Or only use Luna at night and the Good Genes in the morning.

Good Genes “All-In-One” – the Lactic Acid in this treatment immediately made my skin look smoother and fresher by plumping the fine lines around my eyes and brightening my skin tone. This has been great for my oily skin too, as it works well with all skin types. So far they’ve had 100% results of women saying “their skin looked and felt significantly smoother and more radient” – I mean HELLO! That’s something I’d definitely give a try. It is also found in the Sunday Riley “Squad Goals” Skincare kit in a sample size.

Clinique Moisturizing Gel  – All the credit goes to my mom on this item! Because this product is oil-free it is perfect for the hot, summer months. It absorbs fast and I’ve found myself reaching for it anytime I’m running out of the house with a bare face before applying one of the two CC creams I’ve been alternating.

Clinique Moisture Surge CC Cream that’s hydrating and SPF 30. Another oil-free product on my list of summer “can’t live without” items. I’ve officially passed my mid-twenties so I’m being conscious of protecting my skin because you could never start too early. It’s on the lighter coverage of the two options I use so it’s perfect for a natural look at the beach or pool.

It Cosmetics CC Cream with full coverage and SPF 50 that is great for the bachelorette trips where you’ll be taking lots of pictures! This formula also has anti-aging and pore-minimizing benefits. This product is the one I wear more often for going into the office and out in the evening.

I hope y’all are able to find these items helpful and able to incorporate them into your summer beauty regimens.

It’s taken me a little bit longer to get settled and into my new routines in Charlotte but I promise to be more active on the blog! I’ve got a couple upcoming topics started so keep an eye out for new posts! Any requests?
